KNEEPROSTHESES TESTS

Total Knee Prostheses consist of 3 parts and mechanical tests must be performed by adhering to International standards for product safety.

ASTM F1800 or ISO 14879 endurance performance testing is performed for the Tibial Tray part. This test is an endurance performance test. The fatigue test is performed according to the force, cycle and hertz values specified in the standards.

For the test of the insert material, all parts of the Total Knee Prosthesis are used to simulate the human body of the prosthesis, and features such as wear of the insert material and mobility in use are evaluated.

Related tests are ASTM F 2722, ASTM F2723, ASTM F2724, ASTM F2777, ASTM F1223.
